* AMP Kick Off Brunch for Parents, Children, Mentors and Volunteers *

Our initial get together will be a brunch with parents, children, mentors, and volunteers. The goal of the brunch is to for everyone to get to know each other and for the children to become familiar with the mentors while in the safety of their parents. During the brunch the children will complete a questionnaire that will help to determine who they are paired with.
Adoptees United (AU) @ CAL invites the Bay Area Community to a "Meet & Greet"

Adoptees United, a new student organization for adopted students @ CAL, will host an "INFORMAL COMMUNITY SOCIAL MIXER," have special guest speakers and visitors, and offer a chance for adopted tweens & teens to come out and meet adopted students here at UC Berkeley and our alliance of university organizations for adoptees.

Boutique Bonanza Shopping Event

Boutique Bonanza is a fundraiser for the Center for Asian American media (formerly NAATA) and the Adoptee Mentor Program. This event will feature designer clearance items from 50 local San Francisco and Bay area boutiques! Brands may include: Seven for all Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Free People, Ella Moss, Splendid, Trina Turk, Theory, and More! We will all feature a "Candy Bar with sweets and treats," "Beverage bar," and Luxe goodie bags with over $200.00 worth of free merchandise for VIP customers!
* AMP's Second 2007 Group Gathering: SF Giants Baseball game *
Date: Saturday, June 23, 2007Time: Game starts at 12:55pm, but we'll meet at 12:15pm The game may last up to 4 hours.
Location: AT&T Park (King Street and 3rd Street)
Bring your baseball spirit and get ready to watch the San Francisco Giants play the New York Yankees. During the game we'll enjoy eating the ball park food such as hot dogs and garlic fries. Our group will meet and end at the Willie Mays statue.

* AMP's Third 2007 Group Gathering: Hiking Mt. Tamalpais *
Date: Saturday, August 18, 2007Time: 11am - 2pm
Location: The hike will be on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin. The parent drop off and pick up spot is 1472 Filbert Street (btwn Polk Street and Van Ness Street), San Francisco, CA 94109
Get ready to enjoy the beautiful views of the Bay from Mt.Tamalpais. We'll do a short hike, have a picnic lunch, play games and return back to San Francisco.
* AMP's 2007 Community Service Event *
Date: Saturday, September 15, 2007Time: 9am-12pm
Location: Alta Plaza is located in Pacific Heights in San Francisco. Street Address is Jackson Street btwn Divisadero and Fillmore. Meeting place is at the Children's Playground at the top of the hill.
We've planned a Park Clean-Up Project at the Children's Playground in Alta Plaza. All kids, mentors, parents, advisory board members, and friends are encouraged to attend! It will be a fun activity and our second opportunity for everyone (not just the kids and mentors) to be together. And, we can also do our part to keep SF Parks clean! After the clean up, the SF Recreation and Park Department will provide us with lunch. All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes, long pants and layers. Prior to attending, please read the attached guidelines and clean up description.
* AMP's Fourth 2007 Group Gathering: Painting pottery and playing games *

At this get together we'll paint pottery and play games. We'll also have chips, guacamole, and tacos for lunch!
* AMP's Fifth and Final 2007 Group Gathering: Ice Skating at Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center *
Date: Saturday, December 8, 2007Time: 11am-2pm
Location: 750 Folsom Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 (btwn 3rd and 4th Streets)
For our final get together, we'll show off our ice skating skills at Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center. We'll enjoy hot chocolate and a warm lunch.
