AMP's SISTER ORGANIZATION
Chinese Creative Adoptee Links
As the first pair of cross cultural adoptee led non-profit organizations, AMP and CAL join together as sister organizations to support, to collaborate, and to help each other develop their own individual organizations as well as their combined efforts in a broader movement to connect adoptees of all ages and cultures.
Separately each organization is uniquely different:
AMP is a local non profit, based out of San Francisco, that connects volunteer adult adoptees with younger adoptees through group and one-one-one mentor relationships.
CAL is a local non profit, based out of Berkeley, that creatively connects communities worldwide through adoptees adoptee international pen pal letter programs (ages 8-18), creative projects, and gatherings.
Our joint goals are to:
- Build a bridge of transnational and transracial adoptees throughout the world.
- Create the Bay Area's first group of multi-cultural adult adoptees and partner with other domestic adult organizations.
- Promote and grow awareness of international adoption through bi-annual newsletters.
- Use our insights as transnational adoptees to help foster international understanding.
